About

Jennifer McCrory Gunn grew up in a family of artists.  Her mother, an active Central Texas artist and a master of design, was her greatest influence.  Encouraged by Texas artist Carl Embrey, Jennifer focused early on life drawing.  She also studied life drawing and pastel portraiture for several years with Hawaiian artist Susan McGovney-Hansen, and studied brush and ink with Harry Tsuchidana at the Honolulu Academy of Art.  Once settled near Austin, Jennifer continued studying drawing with David Everett of Austin and is currently working with Houston artist, Tyler Norman.

Jennifer has exhibited through the Honolulu Academy of Art and the Williamson County Art Guild, and received Honorable Mention in that guild’s first juried show in Georgetown, Texas.  She exhibits at The Escape in Georgetown, Texas and shows at Lake City, Colorado during the summers.  She especially enjoys drawing and painting scenes of her travels in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas.  Jennifer works in watercolor, pastel, pen and ink, oil, and acrylic.
